Féile Belfast Festival Dates

Féile an Phobail is Ireland’s Biggest Community Arts Festival. Féile provides a programme of inclusive arts, cultural and community-based activities throughout the year, with its flagship festival, the August Féile being the highlight of Ireland’s festival calendar.

The 2022 Féile Belfast festival will take place on Thursday 4th August to Sunday 14th of August across Belfast. For more information on the events taking place at this year’s festival, please click here. 

Age Restrictions At Féile Belfast Festival

Féile Belfast is a family festival suitable for groups and families of all ages. However, for some of our music events, we require children under 16 to be accompanied by a guardian or supervisor over 18 years old at all times.

ID will be required at some of our events to provide proof of age. Please bring ID if you look under 25 years old. Service is always at the discretion of the venue for whatever reason they decide, and the venue is under no obligation to explain the reason if you are refused service. 

Please bring an original copy of your passport or driving licence as photocopied versions will not be accepted.

We do not accept any parental or supervisory duty of care or liability for any under 18’s on site.

Bag Restrictions And Personal Safety At Féile Belfast Festival

At some of our music events, to ensure the safety of all festival goers, bag checks will be in place at points before entry.

We ask that you also play a part in keeping Féile Belfast Festival as safe as possible by cooperating with the below requirements and any security checks that may take place before your event. 

The following items are not permitted into Féile Belfast Festival events:

• Aerosols over 250ml
• Air horns or megaphones
• Alcoholic beverages of any kind
• Anything that could be reasonably classed as a weapon (including oversized lighters) or anything that may cause harm to others
• Glass bottles, jars or containers over 100ml. Smaller glass containers such as perfume bottles are permitted
• Portable sound systems
• Spray cans

Any confiscated items or alcoholic beverages of any kind will not be available to collect after the festival. You may be searched at the entrance of the event. 

To ensure your safety at Féile Belfast Festival events and to reduce the risk of injury, we recommend the following simple steps:

• Alcohol Consumption: Drink responsibly to ensure you are able to enjoy the events at Féile Festival Belfast. The venues reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone arriving in an excessively intoxicated state. 
• Crowds: Due to the large crowds at some of the music events at Féile Festival Belfast, it is essential that children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times to ensure their safety.

• Weather: Due to the ever-changing weather conditions in Belfast, we recommend coming prepared for any weather- be that scorching sunshine or pouring rain, the events at Féile Festival Belfast are here to be enjoyed in any weather!
