Saoirse Askatasuna

Forbairt Feirste and the Belfast Basque Community would be delighted if you would join them in Cultúrlann MacAdam Ó Fiaich at 7.00pm Thursday 2 August, when Jone Ugarteburu and Irati Oleaga will launch the ‘Saoirse Askatasuna’ exhibition by the Belfast Artist and ex-prisoner John McParland.

John hails from the Clonard area and only showed his interest in painting in his fifties. He has a not inconsiderable talent and his style focuses on our natural heritage and on the relationship of people to their surroundings. John is hoping through this first exhibition to draw attention to the campaign in Euskal Herria for the return home of all Basque prisoners from Spanish Gaols.

The exhibition will run from 2 August until 8 September.
