Tuesday 8th August – Family fun trip, to the Slieve Gullion Forest Park – Giant’s Lair, 10-5pm
The Giant’s Lair is an innovative magical living storybook. The Giant’s Lair Story Trail takes visitors on an unforgettable journey of intertwined fairy house and arts features creating a fantastical childhood land of mystery, dragons, giants, witches and fairies. The art in the Giant’s Lair is all inspired by the rich tapestry of local legend and mythical folklore on over a mile of woodlands at Slieve Gullion Forest Park.
Thursday 2nd August – Colin Bake & BBQ Masterclass, Colin Allotments 12- 4pm
Come along and improve you baking & BBQ skills and learn from a professional chefs to cook up health wraps and rolls and spicy meaty delights in a fun and safe environment. Friday 3rd – 4th August – Colin Camp & crafts night 11am – 11am
Come along with the family and learn camping craft and skills, learn about the history of the surrounding hills and woodlands, gather around the camp fire if the evening for some star gazing, make you own pizza and watch it bake in a cob oven and gather around the camp fire for some creative stories. Tuesday 7th August – Cultural Food and Craft Fair, 12-4pm
Come along and experience the flavours of artisan food produced locally and pick up a unique piece of art from the various stalls, get chatting to the allotment holders and taste their produce. Thursday 9th August – Colin Fun Day & Carnival Parade, 12.45pm
Enjoy a great family day out at Colin’s colourful Carnival Parade and Family Fun Day. The Parade will leave St Luke’s Church in Twinbrook at 12.45pm and make its way up the Stewartstown Road to Laurel Glen Shops (beside the Dairy Farm Centre). Here there will be fun and games, Colin’s Got Talent competition, live music, carnival rides, face painters, and much more.
Friday 10th August – Family treasure Hunt, Colin Glen Forest, 12-3pm

Saturday 11th August – Star Gazing & film night 7.30pm – 10.30pm
Colin stargazing and film showing, gather the family and come along to the Colin allotments and learn about our solar system, the stars and planets, bring along your treats and enjoy the family outdoor movie with a space theme. Saturday 11th August – Féile 30 carnival parade
Calling all youth and community groups in Colin, come join us and celebrate 30 year of Féile in west Belfast. The Féile 30 carnival parade is set to be the biggest yet and we want to show the creativity and talent Colin has to offer. So if your group would like to take part following on from the Colin carnival then get in touch to book your place on the bus.
