ALTAN 30th Anniversary Celebration
featuring Special Guest Gerry Creen
Altan have been long established as the best and foremost traditional Irish band to come out of Ireland.
2017 sees Altan celebrate 30 years on the road. Lead singer Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh was announced as the Gradam Ceoil TG4 Traditional Musician of the Year Award which she accepted at the televised awards ceremony in February 2017.
Altan kicked off the year with a show in Dublin Castle as part of the Temple Bar Trad Fest, followed by a Show at Celtic Connections in Glasgow before heading to the US for the annual March tour.
Gerry Creen has been a stalwart of the Belfast folk scene long before his first album ‘A Rose By Any Other Name’ graced the Irish airwaves in 1986.
